Dear all

I am currently own 2 iron sets right now , one is Gauge Design CB Studio version, and another one is Callaway Japan ERC HOT Forged iron. To concentrate on my golf game, I decide to give up one of them. However, I can't make the choice since 2 iron sets are performing very well for me. Both are soft as any other Japan forged iron. Can any one help me to make the decision?

Thanks in advance!

One way to go is stick them both in BST and after the one set sells you are good to go.

Bag #1
Epon AF101 with Machline 7061 Proto
Miura 5W with Machline 7061
Honma Duel Attack 19*
Lepon 23* w/Machline 65
Matsumoto 4-pw with AXIV Graphite
Epon 50* AW
Yururi 57* SW
Hiro Matsumoto MG 8 / Whitlam Devon SPI-3

I say keep them both. I have 4 sets and my game has gone to the dogs. Seriously I say keep the GD as it would probably becomes a collectors' item someday. With their (GD) small volume, I don't see them coming out with new irons every year or every two years while Callaway would have new stuff every year.

But then again, I notice people in this forum have more sticks than anyone I know.

I honestly would take the ERC HOT Forged as its Callaway Japans only forged iron besides the X-Tour. It is also the most compact of the ERC or Fusion Series not to mention a bit harder to find used. I dont think gauge will ever become a collectors item, with the 2 other off shoots Whitlam Golf and Golds Factory using their older tooling designs.

So Gold's irons, cavity and blade, are actually Gauge's old designs or just some old tooling? Who forged Gold's irons? Some of Gold's putters do have a hint of Gauge in them, particularly those with the tungstun inserts.

I don't have much experience with the Gauge irons, but the ERC hot are fantastic... if you don't need to trade, I'd hold on to both.

Irons no, they are done by hand its the putters that use the same tooling.
