Anyone hit the Fourteen TB 1000 (forged)? Also, I play DG X100's and looking at new steel shaft options...any suggestions? I like a mid ball flight. Also, are the Fourteens a compact blade? thx

I haven't hit the Fourteens, but in terms of suggesting a shaft, I would whole-heartedly recomend the Nippon Shaft 1150GH-Tours. I too use to play DG X-100's. Just got bored, was looking for something else and the 1150's were it. Much more enhanced feel. They'll give you mid ball flight and in my opinion, won't sacrifice any distance. In fact, much better dispersion. I better stop here before I go on and on. :tsg_smiley_laughatyou: :tsg_smilie_tired:

Are they the same thickness as the x100's? I tried X100 Super Lites earlier in the year because they were a mirror image of the x100's only lighter. They were thicker when I wrapped my hands around them, which I hated. Also, what flex do you play in the 1150's; I assume X. Do you have to swing them or like my x 100's can you lay off them and hit finess shots, 3/4 shots etc...

I don't notice any difference in thickness. Yes I play x in all the irons, but I went s in the two wedges. They'll match any shot the X-100 can and then some. Much more playable. Feel is greatly enhanced and dispersion is tighter. Do a search on this site and you'll find quite a lot written about them. There are other shafts out there, but I believe these deserve a long look.
