I ordered the 4 and 7 Callaway Hot Fairway Woods in the stock sr flex. I have played with the Callaway Steelhead Plus Fairway woods for a long time and decided it was time for a change. First thing I noticed was the head size of the Hot woods are larger than the steelhead plus. I was able to hit several shots with them yesterday and my first impressions were they were definitely going higher than steelhead. Also, they were definitly going farther as well. I would say a good 5 yards farther. The feel off the clubhead was far superior in nature and it did feel "hot". Hopefuly, the weather will break and I will be able to get a better idea on these clubs but first impressions were positive.

just came back from the west coast and played a few more rounds with the callaway hot fairway woods. IMHO, I have to say these are the easiest woods I have ever hit. There is a zip at impact, initial ball flight is high without ballooning and they do go farther. I am also able to manuever the ball. The only thing that will take getting use to is head size as they are definetly on the larger size. I have a feeling these woods are geared toward the higher handicapper (which I am not) but with the way I hit them, I am not concerned. Just curious how the head size compares to other Japan only woods such as z-steel by srixon or the new epon fairway woods. Also, would like to get some feedback from others who have tried the hot woods as well.
