Hi everyone, I have been a interested lurker on this board for years, very interesting topics and info so thanks! I was wondering about these hybrids and would love to hear from anyone giving these a try?

Actually I presently have TM rescue duals that work great as well but since I really like my FT3 10* driver, I have a good feeling about these new hybrids.

Did you get to try these with the NVS shafts and any thoughts on the draw version vs nuetral. I like the draw FT3 driver with reg shaft but I am not exactly sure about the degree of "draw" bias in these hybrids. In the TM rescue duals, they are really draw bias, so much so you have to reverse the weights to get them to go straight or fade.

Before my SQ Driver, I was hitting an FT-3 Driver with Draw Bias, and I hit a lot of shots left, some hooked. I then switched to an FT-3 with Neutral weighting.......still had a slight draw bias, but hit less hooking shots.

I imagine that the weighting Fusion Hybrid will be along the same lines. If I was going to get one, I would get a Neutral weighting. As for the shaft, I have no information on it, except that it has a mid kick point.

Ok Thanks for the info Goldenhawk, guess I'll just have to demo to see the bias even though my FT3 10* draw driver works well as is. It can draw or go straight and penetrating with a stong grip, or fade a little with a weak grip..... just about right for me!!

Anybody else?? :-)

A pro that fitted me today for a set of MX-900's called up a Cally pro who said that Callaway just so happens to have a demo day at Kapolei GC this Saturday.... So I guess I'll be able to check out these hybrids myself..... I try to report back after that if anybody's interested..... :-)

Well I am back from my Cally demo day at Kapolei. While they had about a million other clubs to demo (the x460's and FT drivers and fairway woods, the X woods and the heavenwoods and various irons) , unfortunately they only had exactly 2 FT Hybrids to try out. A #1-neutral and #3 draw, both with NVS stiff.

While I like regular shafts in my woods, I tried the stiff shafts anyhow. I was quite impressed with these new Hybrids. I was particularly impressed with the weighting of these heads as well as the NVS shafts. They feel really solid and are definitely easy to hit. The neutral was pretty square as far as I could tell and the draw version did definitely appear closed. When hitting them I would say the draw version is only bias a bit more towards the "right to left" or "straight" shot but not to the extreme like the Taylor Rescue Duals.

I felt I could hit fairly high solid shots all day long with these hybrids about 180-210 yards or so. The #1 neutral was always a fade, sometimes power fade, but always fading for me. The #3 draw was easier to get to go straight or occasionally draw, but mostly this did a power fade most every time. I attribute these ball flights mostly to the stiff shaft more than the draw or neutral bias. In summary, I really liked these new FT Hybrids and I think I am going to order the #2 draw and #3 draw, in NVS regular to replace 7 and 5 woods, and perhaps the #1 neutral..... That's all I got for now fellas....

I'll be sure to...... I should get the hybrids in by next week, I have a #2-draw, a #3-draw, and a #1-neutral, all with NVS regular shafts coming in..... they need to work well to replace any of my Taylormade Rescue Duals... ie - longer and consistantly straighter would work... gee I guess this would work for everyone!! :-) The TM rescues are pretty good for sure but they are hooking machines without adjusting the weights and this is coming from a guy who is a straight hitter or plays a baby fade mostly... Aloha

Well I tried out the #2 and 3 draws as well as the #1 neutral (all with NVS reg) FT hybrids at 2 range sessions last week. Although I hit them well distance-wise and had nice ballflight, I was a little disappointed with the control aspects of when they are going to draw and when they are going to fade seemed to be a bit unknown to me right now?? I don't have time to work them out right now because I am getting ready for a tournament on the mainland in 2 weeks. As of now, the TM Rescue duals remain my most reliable hybrids, they go straight or slight draw or fade (with my weight setups) when I want them to "most of the time"....... That's it for now... Aloha

I own one of these but rarely use it. It's super nice looking, and as long as u have a decent swing, it's a great club. I went to the range today and compared it to my 3 irons in my Pings and Fusion irons. I hit this Hybrid (20*) at least 75 yrds further on avg. Dead straight. A lot of this is due to making some adjustments in my swing today, but i had no complaints with this club at all. Nice trajectory, very hot face, i felt it was forgiving as well, although, i found it easy to hit the sweet spot consistently. I recommend it for sure.
