I hate to ask newbie questions but here I go again. I just checked out the website www.sgolfclubs.com and I saw the grind & finish options. (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_emoticons/TSG_Smileys/tsg_smiley_angel.gif) (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_emoticons/TSG_Smileys/atsg_smilie_poop.gif) I was wondering how the full grain compares to the raw Zodia finish. Even if the zodia look ain't your cup of tea, with all of the options offered why would you play (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_images/ss_img/folder_post_icons/icon5.gif) (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_images/ss_img/folder_post_icons/icon6.gif) (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_images/ss_img/folder_post_icons/icon7.gif) (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_images/ss_img/folder_post_icons/icon8.gif) (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_images/ss_img/folder_post_icons/icon10.gif) (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_images/ss_img/folder_post_icons/icon11.gif) (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_images/ss_img/folder_post_icons/icon13.gif) (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_images/ss_img/folder_post_icons/icon15.gif) or any thing other than (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_images/ss_img/folder_post_icons/icon14.gif) ?

I've recently gone through a wedge fetish and tried TM, Mizuno, Gauge, Srixon and have ended up with scratch, basically because i was able to get them made exactly the way I wanted them. I now feel really confident with my wedges. OK, they're more expensive, but i probably use my wedges more than any other club in my bag and that justifies the expense to me.

how does the full grain compare to the raw Zodia finish? And why do you have an 80 gram driver shaft & a 55 gram 3 wood shaft??? (IMG:http://www.tourspecgolf.com/forum/style_emoticons/TSG_Smileys/tsg_smiley_crazy.gif)

don't know about the different finishes, but i'm sure Ari can shed some light on the matter. I have a black copper finish which is the most amazing feel ever in my gap wedge and my sand wedge is a plain black finish (only use it out of the sand so feel isn't as big an issue). I really love them both.

as for my setup, a heavier shaft helps keep my swing plane on line, whereas, with a 3 wood its more forgiving nature allows me to get away with a lighter shaft. Hope that helps.

For me it's the other way around, I get better results with a 55 gram in my driver, and a 75 in my three wood.

Full grain is rough to the touch; the one I saw I didn't like. For non-glare, the antique and 3X black would be my choices, though I've recently switched to the Japanese satin chrome.

The Full Grain is exactly the same thing as the Zodia finish. Basically it is left unpolished after the grinding stage. The "grain" marks are actually marks left by the grinding belts during the hand grinding stage.

We have LH wedge heads on the way from Japan. We actually got our first shipment of them in almost a month ago but we had to reject them because the weights were all far too light. We are expecting replacements very soon.

How close or not close as the case may be is the feel of a Scratch Raw wedge to a Zodia wedge? Visually, they look the same. Feel? TIA.
