What's in the Bag?:
Check Out My Sig!

Mamiya's Axiv shaft series had an impressive showing today at the 06 Tokyo Golf Fair, The highlight was their new Axiv-V Spec. It has a new weave that extends lower than the normal axiv, The only kick point option is Mid/High, it is geared to the harder swinger. I asked the Japanese staff when the U.S would see axiv and at what price point, they mentioned some time in 2007 and just a little less expensive than Japan. I also asked them where the shafts were made, they said bangladesh. They have had a surprisingly better than expect year they said. It is now a common weapon on the JPGA tour. :tsg_smiley_yes:

Check out the new V-Spec models:

Those red ones look pretty sick!!!

Do you have a spec sheet that explains the differences between all the V-Spec models?

Sounds similar to the differences btw Fuji REAX/ROMBAX in the graphite "trellis" goes farther down the shaft changing the launch and load accordingly.

Bat

The V-Specs will be in the online Pro Shop as soon as we get the thumbs up.
This new shaft designed for the better player was just released to the public during the Golf Fair, so you may purchase them sooner rather than later.

The AXIV rep explained that it was designed for the low handicap player with faster swing speeds. The AXIV weave tech placed closer to the center rather than the butt end like the normal AXIVs. That keeps the trajectory lower, and prevents ballooning. We will update you all if any new info arrives.

More Axiv PiCs!!

UST make all their shafts in Bangladesh as well (I believe). With robotized manufacturing, does it really matter where they're made?

Anything you know about bangladesh that makes you question the quality upfront? Please share.

I would like to know the torque values associated with those V-spec shafts. 6070 or 7068 might just do for me. :tsg_smiley_yes:

Thanks!
