Anyone tried this club?
I just got mine and think it's by far the best utility club I've hit. Looks like an iron almost and has hardly any offset at all. Goes far and high, what more could you ask for?

i got a tourstage one, and love mine too, most memorable shot was when the ball was above my severely above my feet, about 210 215 out and I choke down and rifled a cut on the par 5, this club is the best looking iron hybrid ive seen around

You guys are killing me with this. I've been trying to find one for a while now and you already have yours. Everyone online is out of stock, and non of the stores here carry them or even can order them. I have to wait for a demo day on May 7th to even hit one.

Many of us have had this club but in its Tourstage form. The X-Blade Air Muscle Driving Iron. IMO this club lacks forgiveness compared to others like the PRGR ZOOM and Taylormade TP Driving Iron.

The TM TP Driving Iron is one of the best to date and affordable right now.

In 2 Weeks the G-001 from Gauge Japan becomes available, It has a very low C.O.G with 20g's of Tungsten inside of it optional UT-85 Tour AD shaft.

The Tourstage Bridgestone is pure and a pretty thing to look at but IMO it fell short in performance. I am a Driving Iron guy who has used DI's for over a year, hitting pretty much all of them. The PRGR, TM and GD are the best performers in this category.

i had (and still have) a taylor made rac tp DI in 16 deg, i shafted it with a graphite irod utility shaft in regular. i don't get on with it at all, and find it difficult to hit well. So i bought a fourteen 858 with a DG s300, and i love it and would recommend. thats just IMO :smile2:

I just sold a Hybrid (Hogan 2H, 19*, with UST IROD shaft) since I rarely seemed to find myself using it, and preferred using a 5Wood.

However........I"m considering picking up something that I can alternate with my 5Wood on windier days when I want a strong, low-trajectory, piercing ballflight.

Do you think the J33 Utility will work for this shot? My Hogan never did provide that kind of piercing trajectory that I want for windy TExas days. I've tried the Nike Forged utility which seems to be a great alternative, but I'm curious about the ballfight tendencies of the J.

Also - does it have a lot of offset? I'm not a fan of clubs with too much offset. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Sam-Tee-Time,
If your looking for something to go low this club will do that. But, I've found for me its height is generally nice and high. More so off the tee than the fairway though. I can honestly say that since I've put it in my bag ive been very pleased with it

I was so impressed with just the look of the AirMuscle that I bought the 19* in June. Both off the tee and fairway it's been the best utility iron I've ever seen or hit. The minimal offset, smaller profile and blade-ish look translate into a very workable club. I've been able to hit it both low and high, fades and draws. In fact I have had so much success that I bought the 21* in Sept to replace my 3-iron. These utility irons may not be for the higher handicap, but for a single digit handicapper that prefers bladelike look and performance, I cannot recommend these enough!

As you can see from my bag, this is the only non-Titleist item that I am currently playing. That actually says alot... for being a pretty big Titleist HO. What first drew my attention was the lacking offset...its awesome. It's the only iron-like utility club with no offset, moderately thin topline, and a forged feel. You can shape shots with this unlike any other hybrid on the market and the feel off the face is remarkable. This will be tough to leave my bag. I have seen pics of the new 503.i tour issue club (which may never be released to retail, who knows?) and it still has a bit too much offset in the address position from what I see, therefor this club is and will continue to be golden for quite some time. For all you low index and tour guys (which is a majority on this forum I think) who can't seem to part with your blade 2-iron...I was once like you...and this has brought a great deal of confidence for me on the tight par 4's off the tee and long shots into par 5's without sacrificing the appearance of a blade at address. You may want to give it a shot. Best Wishes.

JF
