This was the my second set of irons, the first set I every bought. When I first got them I thought they were the greatest things since adding bounce to a wedge. VERY forgiving, good ball flight, and pretty consistant results everytime. They were recomended to me by several of my pro friends that play on the tour. They were using the x-14 pro's so I figured good enough for them, good enough for me. Well as my game progressed, I got really frustrated with these irons. I actually think it's my personality. These clubs are SO forgiving I got lazy and wouldn't focus on the shot. So I dropped these and went with the 690.cb's and haven't looked back. I think the x14's are great clubs, just not for me. Oh and that hideous pitching wedge. It's not even a wedge it's a 9 iron!

I have and currently play the x-14's they are easier than a prositute seeing dollar signs. like primo said the only thing I don't like about them is the pitching wedge... which is going to be replaces after I find out what I am doing with this driver...

i figure somone has to take a stand and stick up for the poor x-14 PW. i actually like it. it is pretty well rounded and very forgiving, just like the rest of the irons. it's the same situation as a driver, you either like the look of it or you don't, doesn't mean that it doesn't work. with the loft of the pw and my 52, 56 and 60 wedges i figure i have a pretty nice selection to handle the 150 yardages, just my opinion

Well when you put it that way and you're really treating your pitching iron like a 9 iron then I guess that's a little different. I meant more for greenside shot and actually pitching with it I didn't really like it.

I have same set up as Faygo and find the X-14's to be super clubs if you want to score your best. It is hard for me to understand how anyone could have a problem with a club that has ultimate forgiveness. They took my scores lower than my MP-30's and I am sticking with them.

This set is great! Aimed at those who are less than hacker like......Huge progression from the BB's. They feel great when you hit them and are forgiving. you can tell right away when you hit a bad shot. The extra distance that you get from the clubs give you more confidence in going for a shot.
I like these so much that I bought another set--a tour set. I don't see these leaving my bag anytime soon.
For those wanting the next best thing to forged blades.....these are it!
