Quite simply, the best $60 shaft I've ever found.....I would advise going one subflex less than you would normally as they measure the shafts using a 205 gram chuck and most heads weigh less than that.....I've got the s-2, mt in my 540 XD/TP and love it.....I've played this shaft in many drivers and it has never failed me.....The TTR features in the tip are very good for the larger headed drivers now.....My ss with the driver is 102-105 and smooth, the s-2 is supposed to be for 98-102 but fits me perfect (mine is tipped 1/2 because of the shalow bore of the TM.....

With so much talk about the $200 plus dollar shafts everyone seems to overlook an awesome shaft such as this one. I reshafted my 10.5 degree Launcher Comp with this shaft in X1 sub-flex tipped 1/4 inch and I absolutely love it. It has it all; great launch characteristics (mid/high), killer CPM's (265), feel and the control of any ultra high end shaft I've played including ANY of the Speeder line. For the smooth aggressive swinger out there that does not want to spend $300 bucks on a premium model shaft (or even someone who does) I highly recommend this cool looking offering (chocolate brown) from MMC Corp. As a footnote, this model plays completely different than any previous shafts from Apache/MMC. Nothing at all like the Matrix!

Is the LT available in both the .335 and .350 tips? What is your swingspeed?

At the time I aquired this one it was only available in .335, geared towards the better driver heads. This is my suggestion to everyone, the new design technology asks to allow the driver head to do it's job while keeping the shaft from getting in the way. You can play a shaft with good weight and low torque (very stiff) and not worry to much about it as long as the driver head you choose has enough initial launch angle. This is why they always say that to many golfers do not play enough loft in their drivers. So when you read forums about the mayor club manufacturers drivers playing with more loft than they should they are actually trying to help the average golfer with this problem. I'm now able to play X flex shafts and kill the ball with wonderful accuracy because I've listened to what the technology dictates. I say play a 10.5 with low torque, high kick points and love it all day long. That's what the Pro's are all doing...

What's in the Bag?:
Burner TP 10.5/MCC Matrix LT
Mizuno MP-001 4w/Speeder 857 pro ti OR F-50/Ozik Code 8 Stiff
Baffler 18°/XCon Altus
4-GW Maltby M-05/Project X 5.5 softstepped OR
Scratch AR-1/Nippon 1150
Scratch SW & LW
Guerin Rife Mallet

I completely agree - wonderful shaft, especially for a player who fights a hook. I had great success with the Matrix except for the two OB lefts I seemed to get every round - none of that with the Woven LT. My SS is 102-106, smooth tempo, and I play an S2 tipped about 5/8"

I was speaking with my Matrix Rep and he indicated that the technology in the Woven is basically the same as the Rombax. They admit that they dropped the ball regarding the marketing of this shaft. I honestly feel this is one of the best shafts on the market right now. I guess they are going to do another market release with new graphics, etc.
