Has anyone seen or tried the new Hogan FTX forged irons? Any comments?

You can check out this thread for pics
http://www.tourspecgolf.com/modules.php?na...iewtopic&t=1206 They are nice irons, I thought the blades were softer and better than the blades in the Nike Pro Combo but thought the cavity backs in the Nike Pro combos were better. I had never hit a Ben Hogan product before so I couldn't compare against previous offerings. I did like the fact that it was either a blade or cavity back. |

FTX's are buttery.
had the TM CB from japan and went to the Hogans. While feel is a personal judgment call, the Hogans set up beautifully to my eye and the graduation from 3 to pw is well done. Visually, they are gorgeous. I have owned or tried a ton of irons and I will not be changing for a long while. I am a 3.5 and I think these are perfect for someone who wants a crisp topline and just a tad more forgiveness in the long irons. hope this helps. |

had the TM CB from japan and the NIke PRO COMBOs and went to the Hogans. Neither iron comes close. I thought the combos were solid, but not buttery. i hit these. liked them. the ball flew off the face. but when i did swing bad, i hit them out to the right or dead left. they did feel weird at impact sometimes. a vibration shot through my hands. but overall they were awesome!!!

i have em and love them. Great feel great accuracy and good distance. You do feel it if you put a bad swing on them, but that's how golf should be
