Is there much difference between the NVS and the Prolaunch in Stiff flex other than the price?

I hit them both in a Nakashima 420, and Alpha 425V.2

Both created a nice launch angle...but ball flight with the Pro-Launch seemed to drop real fast...as if there was more spin.

I never had a chance to confirm it on a launch monitor to see what kind of spin I was getting, but distances were different between the two with the NVS being measurably longer.

I've hit both and, at least to me, the NV plays much firmer than the ProLaunch. I felt like I was swinging a lead pipe. The Graffaloy has a much smoother feel, loads nicely, and provides a higher launch angle.
Just my observations.

Johnny, you misread the title of the thread...he is asking for a comparison between the Pro-Launch and the NVS, not the NV.

Different creatures.

i have this shaft in a tour 540xd, and with this head, it feels like a perfect combination. i have a 9.5 loft and i hit it perfectly to that loft. the tip feels great compared to the regular NV. its much softer.

LOL...Am I the ONLY one her that see he's NOT asking about the NV shaft, but the NVS?

Hey indacup thanks for the help....I guess my little question caused a lot of confusion. I guess bottom line other than feel is there any other difference between the NVS and the Prolaunch than the price?

LOL..I can see how so many got confused...

Both shafts, the Pro Launch and the GOLD NVS shaft are good shafts...

They both have a good feel, nice mid flight trajectory, nice tight dispersion...but as I mentioned, the NVS seemed to get it's carry without ballooning and a more subtle drop where the Pro-Launch seemed to add too much spin.,

You're talking a difference of 40 bucks or so between the two...unless of course you can find a NVS pullout in Ebay or something!

Well 40 bucks is not much. I am leaning towards the NVS but I want to hit both first and it will be about 3-4 months before I can do that. I am in Iraq right now but I will need a new shaft for my 983K when I get back. There are so many new shafts out that I was trying to narrow it down some to save me some time.

Thanks
