First off, let me start by saying that the idea of putting X100 shafts in your irons is a scary idea. When you listen to how some talk about them, you would think that this is the stiffest, boardiest (is that a word?)shaft out there.
Lets continue by saying that I did NOT lose distance. Distance was the same as before with my Constant Weight Rifle's.
However, there was a slight--and I mean slight, change of trajectory. Starts off a tad lower and overall is a tad lower. Just something probably to get used to--I'll clarify that is a second.
I prefer the kick of a DG over the CWR. Has a little something at the end.
The main difference of this shaft compared to other DG's and the CWR is the WEIGHT. This is something that affects everything about the performance. It's a positive and a negative thing. It's positive because if you're used to swinging hard, it evens out your swing. You no longer have to worry about trying to hit a harder shot, you just hit a normal shot and your tempo seems to be better. At the same time, make sure you always swing like that. If you let up, your trajectory may get lower or you may get lazy and some weird shots come into play.
As I said before, if/when you get used to the weight, it probably performs just as good as whatever you were already hitting, that is, if your swing is good enough......

After having these clubs for almost a week.....I must say that these shafts seem to get better and better.
As I've said before, the flex doesn't seem to be an issue because it has a nice kick at the end. The weight is more the issue and I LOVE it. It's like it's perfect.
Since I've had more time to hit my irons, the ball flight is still the same except maybe a tad BETTER. My shots look "pretty" on a more consistent basis.
I consider myself to be a hitter and a picker. These suit me very well. If you happen to be one of these, you might want to give these a try.....
Have you hit the S300s?
How do x100 compare to the s300s? I'm maybe interested in changing to the x100 just for kicks.

I have always thought the x-100s felt more "live" than s300. As far as trajectory, they may be only slightly lower than constant weight rifles but I have found they are much lower than TF rifles in the long irons.

I went from S300 to X100's in my old DCI black irons and it has made a world of difference. My normal ball flight is a draw. With the S300's I was hitting a high draw that became a hot hook pretty easily if I stepped on the gas a little. With the X100's my ball flight came down to a very nice piercing trajectory and I don't get that hard hook anymore when I swing hard. I was scared of losing distance, but I haven't noticed any loss of distance at all. I would say that my ball striking has never been more consistant since I started using these shafts. My Driver SS is about 110....about average for a decent player. I'm now trying to build up the kohones to put X shafts in my woods too.

I'm pulling some X100s in favor of a different flavour- maybe Nippons...maybe Tour Concepts...they are nice shafts.
I like the X100s. They don't seem as harsh as some have told me they are. I can hit a neat little knockdown 7i and it feels great and stays low.
If anyone knows someone who might need some X100s, taper tip, let me know. I'd like to be able to post a TC review soon.
