Akira presents their Prototype KS201 irons. Made from 8620 Mild Carbon steel for soft feel, the KS201 is a smaller cavity aimed at the scratch and low handicapper player. The KS201 has a thinner sole and topline and variable CG location. The CG starts out quite low in the long irons at 17.5mm and gets higher as each iron gets shorter all the way up to 21.0mm in the PW. This allows the long irons to launch high and far while the shorter irons focus on a mid trajectory stable ball with more spin. The KS201 has a boxy shape and sharper toe which is common in most compact cavities aimed at pros and athlete golfers. The sole while thin has leading and trailing edge relief as well as a reasonable amount if bounce increasing through the set (2* of bounce in the 3 iron increasing to 8* in the PW) which really help the KS201 excel on lush high end courses and prevent digging in unfavorable lies.
The conforming grooves KS201 is available as heads only 3-PW with 0.370 hosel size.
