Yonex introduces their all new conforming grooves driving iron, the ZERO Iron - Ryo Ishikawa Model. The ZERO Iron was first introduced at the British Open last year as a prototype for Ishikawa to use off the tee in battling the strong winds at the open. Yonex has evolved the driving iron and created 4 lofts matched with a specially designed Graphite Design Tour AD Hybrid Shaft. The ZERO Iron has a premium forged body from S25C Carbon Steel matched with a high strength SAE spring steel face. The ZERO iron provides a penetrating trajectory thanks to a short CG and the ease of use of a utility.
Extra weight is focused on the heel and neck area in the form of a little weight bump to keep shots centered and reduce shots off the heel. The sole is semi wide for versatility and features a semi groove trailing edge relief. Because the ZERO Irons feature lower lofts, they are made for extra carry with that penetrating trajectory thanks to lower spin which also equals run out.
Made for the stronger player who prefers iron type clubs over woods, the ZERO Iron can rival 3 and 5 woods in distance.
Yonex has released a very limited number of ZERO Irons. Demand will be huge in Japan as this is a Ryo Ishikawa model and anything with his name on it sells out... fast.
16* 18* 20* and 23* lofts are available in this listing as HEAD ONLY (comes with headcover). Tip diameter is 0.370 for all your favorite utility shafts! |
