Yamaha's new 2012 V202 Tour Model driver is a limited edition premium forged high performance driver. TSG says the conforming 415cc V202 Tour is aimed at the pro and better player wanting control, stability and a strong penetrating trajectory.
Shorter and shallower CG result in a powerful trajectory utilizing Yamaha's RPM design for low spin equaling a higher launch but lower overall trajectory resutling in more carry AND more run than most other drivers.
The Chemically Milled head provides maximum energy transfer and elasticity for wonderful feel at impact along with the premium forged ELF Titanium face. TSG believes the new Ultimate face is a huge upgrade over the previous Octaface design. The new face has a sweey spot 9.8% bigger than the previous tour model and is especially forgiving on shots high and low on the face which are the typical misses for the athlete golfer.
Forged by Endo and made in Japan, this compact, square faced head comes with the brand new yet to be launched Graphite Design Tour AD BB-6 shaft which is a low torque mid kicking shaft with great feel and a penetrating ball flight.
The new V202 Tour Model is limited to only 4000 pieces in all of Japan and will sell out after launch which is why TSG suggests pre ordering this driver to ensure you get one.
It is available in 9* and 10* lofts and the Tour AD BB-6 in Stiff flex. TSG suggests this shaft for the player who swings between 98-108mph.
Custom shafts can also be ordered through TSG which are built directly by Yamaha to customer spec. These shafts include, Diamana, Fubuki, Tour AD DJ and DI, Motore Speeder and Roddio.
