Yamaha introduces their all new Classic Forged Iron for 2010. This conforming grooves iron is made for maximum distance and forgiveness in a premium forged and high tech multi piece package. The Classic forged is made from premium forged S20C steel and features an SAE mild steel hybrid L cup face with tungsten weighting in the sole. The CG is very low in the iron for an easy high launch and max carry, the hybrid face and deep pocket cavity help increase MOI and create a sweet spot 24% bigger than the previous GRX iron.

The wider rounded sole is forgiving and versatile in any lie. The lofts are ultra strong with 22* for the 5 iron and the clubs are longer than standard at 38.75" for the 5 iron. The Classic Forged also features ascending swing weight where the swing weights get progressively higher as the irons get shorter for more of a focus on control.

The specially tuned graphite shaft features a low and high double kick point.

The Classic Forged is also the lightest men's forged cb on the market with the 5 iron being 335g. All this points at huge distance performance for the slower swinger and senior golfer wanting more yards.

The Classic Forged standard set is 7-PW and comes with a large iron cover.
