Tourspecgolf is proud to introduce Titleist Japan's all new Vokey Design FORGED Wedge!! Titleist Japan decided it was time to create their first ever forged Vokey wedge for the Japanese market. Bob Vokey came to Japan and worked closely with Japanese tour pros both here and in the US on a design and soft forged feel that would satisfy even top Titleist pros worldwide. The Vokey Forged will be available with 9 different lofts to choose from all with slightly different soles depending on their intended usage, there is variety for everyone with multiple combinations possible in the bag.
The 46 48 50 and 52* wedges feature a flatter grind for full shots while 54 56 58 60 and 62* lofts feature a combination R and M Sole grind to focus on control and spin. The M Sole utilizes trailing edge relief spanning from toe to heel thus reducing sole area and contact with the ground for direction and touch around the green and in tight lies. Vokey's testing and research found that the ideal number of grooves for spin are 17 score lines all double pressed for maximum friction and bite under USGA Conforming Rules. All lofts feature a pre worn sole which softens up the leading edge for more ease of use. Forged from S20C at Endo, the spin milled face and soft forging produces ultimate feel and spin!
The standard shafts on the Vokey Forged Wedges are DG S200, NS Pro 950GH Stiff and a newly developed for Titleist Rombax 70 Graphite shaft which as you guessed it weighs 70grams and comes in stiff flex. The grip they use is the Titleist 360* which is round Tour Velvet style grip with no seam.
Of course as always custom orders which take 2-3 weeks from Titleist Japan are also accepted by TSG as follows:

Titleist will also allow for length changes of plus or minus 0.25" and lie changes of plus or minus 1*.
PLEASE NOTE THERE IS HUGE HUGE DEMAND FOR THE VOKEY FORGED. EXPECT ADDITIONAL WAIT TIMES OF 4-6 WEEKS FOR STANDARD SPECS AND 6-8 WEEKS FOR CUSTOM SPECS. TSG SUGGESTS IT IS BEST TO ORDER AND WAIT OR YOU WILL END UP WAITING MONTHS.
