Taylormade introduces their all new 2010 R9 Forged iron for the Japanese Market. The new R9 Forged conforms to new 2010 groove rules and is designed for the mid capper who wants the best in feel and balanced performance in a mid sized cavity back. The R9 Forged features an advanced multipiece body with a soft cast 17-4 stainless steel body with a soft forged mild S25C face and neck. The cacvity features an undercut with sound management in the 3-7 irons to increase forgiveness and a focus on distance. In the short irons, 8-PW, the undercut disappears and the creating a single one piece forged design focused on control.

The new R9 Forged has enough feel and control with less offset for the mid to lower handicapper but enough forgiveness and performance for the average golfer who wants to take it to the next level.

The new R9 Forged is available standard as 5-PW with DG S200, Nippon NS Pro 950GH Regular or Stiff, or Motore 60 Graphite.

3 and 4 irons as well as an AW and SW are available at an additional cost.

Please note the R9 Forged begins shipping mid May so any orders before this date are considered pre orders. We highly recommend pre ordering if you want this iron as TM Japan irons are always in such big demand on release that after the first shipment sells out there is usually a 4-6 week wait after the launch.
