Taylormade Japan introduces their all new Burner TP iron for 2010. The new Burner TP is a compact cavity back with thin topline and sole and targets the low handicapper and pro player. Taylormade has designed the new head with balance in mind. Control and workability as well as pure performance, the Burner TP features Taylormade's Inverted Cone Technology and a sound management cavity designed to provide feel and a pleasing sound at impact.
This was originally a prototype iron on the Japanese tour (also know as the Burner "B" Irons) and played by top Japanese LPGA player Shinobu Moromizato who had 6 victories on tour this year, which TM has decided to make retail for the Japanese Market only. Part of the feedback given by pros in Japan were to have the Burner TP with a constant width sole across the entire set. The shallow cavity design and sharp lines and sole are preferred by the better and more advanced player. The Burner TP features a Smoke Ion Plated finish that is anti glare and just plain cool looking.
The Burner TP has USGA approved grooves for 2010 and is available standard as 5-PW.
