Roddio is a subsidiary of Daiwa Golf Japan. Tricross is a multi-axial carbon weave made to minimize vibrations which transmit through the shaft on impact. By minimizing the vibrations of today's large driver heads, even off center shots missing the sweet spot can still be controlled and stablized. Carbon fiber is weaved in a four directional axis providing a balanced shaft with side spin minimizing characteristics and penetrating straight ball flight. It's considered to be one of the longest, most controlled, high tech shafts on the Japanese market. The W-5EX Tricross is made especially as a lightweight shaft for those larger high MOI driver heads with longer than the traditional 45" shaft length. The W-5EX redistributes its rigidity by changing the bend profile with a 46" driver in mind. Compared to the W5BA, the tip is slightly stiffer and the butt slightly softer. This reduces twisting of the larger head with the longer setup and creates and easy to swing smooth feeling driver for the player with an average tempo and transition. Recommended swing speeds:
Regular: 83-93mph
Stiff/Regular: 90-100
Stiff: 97-107 All Roddio shafts are dual sided color wise. With the logo and shaft markings down, the player only sees either an all white shaft (WA) or all silver shaft (BA and EX). Roddio shafts also have superior all weather resistance with a special Roddio patented clearcoat which also protects the shaft from scratching.
