ONOFF introduces its all new Type-S Black Fairway Wings Utility for 2012! This high performance utility is aimed at the better player looking for a balanced and versatile utility that provides great feel, stability and control as well as awesome distance. The new Type-S Red features a hyper maraging face and body paired with a 17-4PH stainless crown. The variable thickness face produces wonderful crisp but soft feel and very high ball speeds and spring effect. The Type-S Red features a 0* square face on all lofts, 21 24 and 27*, which allow for more control and workability The face is on the deeper side meaning it excels both off the deck in all kinds of lies and off the tee.
The Type-S also features shorter overall club lengths, paired with a more rounded sole which increases the clubs versatility in deep rough and uneven lies allowing the golfer to make much better and more consistent impact on the center of the face for maximum distance and a more controlled and feeling shot. The head is smaller sized and wood and has more of an iron like profile which allows the player to frame the ball for more workability.
The design of the Type-S Black was original taken from top ONOFF Pro Shingo Katayama's pro spec model utility and tweaked to become the strong trajectory Type-S.
The Type-S Black is available in 21 24 27* lofts with standard Nippon steel shaft, 850GH Regular or 950Gh Stiff. TSG recommends the the Type-S with standard steel shaft for the more aggressive swinger who needs more stability and weight or a more controlled tempo. We suggest 85-95mph for the 850GH R and 95-105mph for the 950GH Stiff.
