ONOFF introduces its all new Type-D Red Fairway Wings Utility for 2012! This high performance utility is aimed at the more average golfer looking for ease of use and maximum distance. The new Type-D Red features a hyper maraging face and body paired with a 17-4PH stainless crown. The variable thickness face produces wonderful crisp but soft feel and very high ball speeds and spring effect. The Type-D Red features a 1* closed face on all lofts, 18 21 24 and 27*, which helps promote a straighter to draw ball for those who struggle with the right side. The face is mid deep meaning it excels both off the deck and off the tee.
The Type-D also features shorter overall club lengths, paired with a V shaped sole, allowing the average golfer to make much better and more consistent impact on the center of the face for maximum distance and a straighter better feeling shot. The head is mid sized and wood like to promote more confidence and ease of use.
The new ONOFF smooth kick graphite shaft is produced in house at Daiwa and features a mid kick and mid to high torque (depending on the flex) with R2 (46g 5.1*tq), R (50g 4.7*tq) and S (59g 3.8*tq) flexes. TSG recommends the flexes as follows (keeping in mind these are estimates that depend on your swing style as well as speed)
R2: 75-85mph
R: 84-94mph
S: 92-102mph
