Mizuno Japan introduces their all new JPX 800S driver for 2011.
The JPX 800S is more compact JPX driver made only for the Japanese market.
The 440cc conforming head is designed for ease of use and maximum distance.
A huge sweet spot with a 3.4mm thick wall is surrounded by a 2.5mm outer wall for that slingshot effect. The JPX800S features a 6 piece plasma welded titanium design which provides a solid hot feel.
The new JPX model provides maximum distance though a mid to high trajectory and low spin.
Compared to the "normal" JPX 800 model, the 800S, besides the smaller 440cc head and more compact design, also features a thinner sweet spot area for a hotter face and a slightly larger gravity angle to helo square up to the ball.
The JPX800S also features a Japan only JPX MD100 carbon shaft epsecially designed to fit the JPX800S at 46" for optimal performance.
The shaft features a 13g tunsten sheet reinforcement in the butt area to create stability.
Mizuno dubs the shaft the Power Maximizer and says its design makes swinging a 46" club as easy as swinging a 44" club. In otherwords the shaft helps sweet spot impact consistency.
The JPX800S is available in 9.5 and 10.5* lofts and Regular (49g 5.3* tq), Stiff/Regular (54g 4.7* tq) and Stiff (59g 4.2* tq) flex mid kick shafts. |
