Following the success of their Perfect Switch 460 and 440 adjustable drivers, Honma has decided to release a compact traditional shaped 395cc version of the Perfect Switch for the low handicapper to pro player. The smaller high back head is designed to produce a lower trajectory than both the 440 and 460 models. Strong against the wind and with low spin and big run, the 395 benefits the faster swinger wanting a stable piercing ball flight with lots of run.
The Perfect Switch fearues what Honma dubs the Non-Rotating System. Like FCT from Taylormade, the Perfect Switch can be adjusted for face angle, loft and lie. There are Eight different positions the system can be set in not unlike TM's FCT system. The key difference here is the Perfect switch makes the adjustments from the heel of the driver rather than rotating the sleeve and shaft like FCT. So using the supplied Wrench PLUS Socket, you can make any adjustments WITHOUT rotating the shaft hence the name Non-Rotating System. Honma believes this optimizes performance of the shaft by ensuring the shaft always stays in it's optimal position which is with the shaft's spine properly aligned no matter what setting is chosen on the driver unlike FCT where the shaft spine changes with every adjustment.
The standard face angle of the 395 is OPEN 2.0* and with Honma's adjustable system it means the head can be closed an extra 1.5* or open yet another 1.5* making the maximum open face 3.5*!!
The 395 only comes in 9* and a new Perfect Switch 70 shaft in Stiff flex. This is a mid high kick shaft which also helps promote a lower trajectory. The driver is 45" and D3 with a heavy overall static weight of 329g meaing this driver is best for a stronger player at over 100mph at minimum.
