The upgrade and aftermarket shaft scene has seen an emergence of high grade carbon shafts creating a big buzz in distance and control performance. Fujikura has released the all new VT series shaft to challenge the likes of Crazy and Quadra and their premium grade performance shafts.
The new VT series is Fujikura's highest grade carbons shaft (not counting then joint venture Muzik Bangvoo) with focus on distance and control. The VT utilizes the Motore Speeder 7 axis design, a quadra axis composite and triax woven composite creating stability and distance performance.
The VT however uses high grade carbon which contains more glass and metal particles as opposed to most standard shafts on the market that contain more rubber particles. This creates a shaft that resists deformation and loads and unloads in a consistent and controllled manner.
The VT creates optimal smash factory and carry with optimal spin and trajectory. The high grade carbon allows the shaft to always square to impact for maximum distance.
As you can see from the tables below for a player who swings approximately 102mph the VT creates the most distance overall and best smash factory whether the player swings outside in or inside out. Either way the ball is consistently a draw thanks to the consistency and stability of the high grade carbon.
