Callaway Japan is ready to release their all new Legacy Tour Driver. While the original Legacy and Legacy Aero is considered two of the best feeling and performing drivers Callaway has ever made, it didn't necessarily meet the needs of the lower handicap athlete golfer. The new Legacy Tour has all the great features of the original Legacy and Legacy Aero including the chemically milled α + β Titanium Hyperbolic face plus more. The Legacy Tour is designed with a smaller 440cc head size and more traditional shape creating not only distance but low spin, optimal trajectory and control.
The Legacy Tour is aimed at the better player with a thinner face allowing Callaway to reallocate 31g of weight in order to create more inertia. The CG is placed more forward for a much lower trajectory than previous Legacys and a new hosel was implemented that allows the player more feel and stability during impact and fade and draw control. The Legacy Tour is more fade biased and features a flatter 57* lie angle aimed at the better player.
The new Legacy Tour is available stock with Callaway Speed Amorphous shaft in Stiff/Regular or Stiff Flex. Lofts are 8.5. 9.5 and 10.5*.
Upgrade shafts directly from Callaway include the UST Mamiya ATTAS 6, Fujikura Motore Speeder VC6.0 and the new Diamana 'ilima 60.
The new Legacy Tour begins shipping in early November 2009. All orders before then are pre orders. |
