Following it's best selling Axiv and Axiv V series shafts, the X Series combines the best qualities of it's predecessors. The Axiv-X utilises it's 4 carbon weave to eliminate twisting, provide controlled stable bending of the shaft and optimal load and unload timing producing maximum kick for distance. The X Series has been designed particularly with larger sized drivers in mind and is a good match for the new generation of high MOI drivers. A common problem in golf is the driver head twisting on impact resulting in an open face. The Axiv X minimizes twisting of the head and stabalizes the shaft for pinpoint dispersion and control. Some changes over the previous Axiv V Series include slightly higher ball flight thanks to a mid kick, even tighter dispersion through lower torque numbers across the board. Mamiya built the Axiv X based on the idea that any golf club will only perform as good as the shaft that is in it. The Axiv X is the new generation for maximizing club head performance. Please not that CPM numbers in the chart below are not good indicators of the shaft's flex. They are raw numbers with no grip or head and uncut with a 7" clamp. Installed CPM will vary depending on head, grip and length used.
